They're still at it. Sgt Slaugher - FIRED! Ron Simmons - FIRED! DAMN! Both were working as agents. I am sure every once in a while we'll see them under "Legends" contracts, but the day to day they are involved in ends.
Ref Mickey Henson also gone.

Bye Bye to Scotty "Colt Cabana" Goldman.
He had been hosting a show on wwe.com that was fairly amusing, from what I had seen, and was getting good reviews for that. But he was useless to WWE in the ring, he did not fit their profile at all. He has a rep as a funnyman, it runs in the family apparently as a brother works on Family Guy behind the scenes.
But no more Scotty Goldman, released today.

And there goes Manu. Can Sim Snuka be far behind?
Manu fan here. Im a little down on this one. Not only did he have talent for a big man, he had the second generation pedigree that they love, and the WWE has a good relationship with his Dad. Oh well.

Yeah, and with Umaga coming back they already have a big power Islander type. I was pretty sure they were going to package Manu with Sim Snuka in a tag role, but the WWE prejudice against any tag team not named Miz and Morrison continues.

I'm still hoping Priceless gets the belts at Mania. They could easily package Snuka and Manu as a midcard tag team on Smackdown.

Kind of surprised by that. Why not throw Manu and Snuka on ECW with the rest of the young guys to mix it up at least.

That was my thinking too. I was certain they were going to make them a tandem. Again, its coming back to where they seem to think he was too close to Umaga in style and build, I guess.

I figured Boogeyman's days were numbered once he started jobbing last couple weeks.

Even though Boogey was doing all kinds of jobs, he was getting more TV time than ever. Inexplicably so, admittedly.
Colt Cabana is SO overrated...outside of his awesome "Matt Classic" gimmick. I did see he was getting rave reviews for announcing work he was doing in the Florida developmental. Some of his web shows on WWE.com had laughs, but others were groaners.

Kizarny has apparently been shown the door as well......This is how disjointed the WWE and their writers are. They must have had a million promos building him up and I think he wrestled in like 2 matches..........

I found this to be a mild surprise, in that he came in with friends going to bat with him (Edge) and had a different look. I mean, WWE needs "jobbers" and he would be a more entertaining fall guy than most. Part of wrestling that is lost is different sorta folks. While I was not exactly a fan of "Pirate Paul" I was surprised they pulled the plug on it, cause it entertained some folks. Then again, with talk they may actually let Santino Marrella go (and his total lack of push recently) anything could happen.

Well, he is absoutely useless in the ring. They cant even trust him to have a one minute match.
They dont believe in bringing people on the road that can not give them a match in the ring, which is one of the reasons another character, Boogeyman, was shown the door.

Tomko, we hardly knew ye. After being resigned to a deal late last year, Tomko has been cut loose after just one dark match with the company. Apparently Vince hated that one match, thought Tomko was out of shape, and that was it for him. After months of speculation, and zero TV appearances, he has been let go.

Tazz - gone!
Contract is up, and the ways have been parted.
My guess, even before reading around? JBL will be back in that chair shortly.

From what I am reading, it was mutual. Tazz actually gave notice, but he may have seen the writing on the wall. Apparently he was not pleased about Vince constantly giving him the business in the headphones - thats exactly what drove Mick Foley away.
Its been said the two sides parted amicably, and Tazz is looking forward to taking some time away.

I read the same, also that he said he was burnt out and needed to take time to rest. But I can't help but laugh at all the people Vince drives away. Why does Tazz of all people decide to split because of Vince but Cole still sticks around? I did like Tazz as an announcer although he could be bit of a cornball. That said, if JBL does come back I'm all for it, I really like him on color, I like the heel announcer. Plus I think him and JR would be a good team, I'd def want to see how well they do together.
But who knows what the pairings will be after the draft in a few weeks.

That's true. I'm hoping they reunite JR and the King. Can't say if they will, but I'm hoping they do. I also liked Tazz on the mic. Hopefully they are parting ways amicably, and we'll see Tazz again someday.

Well, Cole has to get off Raw, at the least. He does not handle the live show well, apparently they were able to "clean him up" on the taped / postproduced Smackdowns. He simply handles Vince cause he is meek, and plays whipping boy well. Cole has no exuberance. I never hated him as much as many do, but he just has no pop. Ross is not necessarily the answer - after all these years he is seemingly long in the tooth.
WWE needs to find some new play-by-play guys, and fast. Im with James in that JBL would be a nice grab. I cant believe the heel / face tandem has gone the way of the dodo in the last decade for the most part, and is only being revived in small doses with Tenay and West.

And I think we can all admit it's not much of a heel / face tandem in Tenay and West. I don't know who fakes emotion more, Cole or Tenay. And with Tenay just being a horrible actor makes the whole dynamic sucks between the two. JBL and Ross would be good I think, I certainly don't want Cole on Raw either, but if he needs to be edited Smackdown is the only choice for him and I too am tired of Ross and King. And I also don't like the idea of breaking up Grisham and Striker. This could get messy.

Just read at Prowrestling.net JR updated his blog about the announcing situation at Mania, and he said he, The King and Michael Cole were honored to be calling all the action on Sunday. It makes sense, it may not be great, but logistically it makes sense. He also noted it isn't a def JBL would be going back behind the table since he runs his own business selling boner juice.
