If you watched the World Series last night, they showed a clip in the 8th inning.

You forgot the Yankees are not in the World Series.
I'm interested to see how they pull this off. This has the potential to be hot gay buttsex or some bum puring a 40 of warm piss down my throat. The best action thriller is the new best comedy. I can't wait to laugh.
No more CTU yet I bet Jack calls Chole up in the middle of making scrambled eggs and gets her to go on her super secret phone and hack alien spaceships. She can't do that though because someone new is in charge and is watching over her.
C'mon Chloe just do it! DAMN IT!

Thanks to the writer's strike, 24 may not air this season. It has been removed from the schedule, because they don't have enough episodes in the can.

Nice to resurrect this thread with the return of Jack Bauer. I'm hoping the long layoff doesn't mean that the website that tracked Bauer's kills will no longer provide its great service to mankind.
But anyway, unofficially, I counted 14 kills last night, which was damn good. No rust for Jack Bauer. A solid effort. I'm glad they put the movie in real time too. I'll edit the thread when and if the website updates.
Here are the stats:
Season 1: 10 Season 2: 30 Season 3: 14 Season 4: 43 Season 5: 38 Season 6: 49 24 Redemption Movie (2 hours): 13 =============== Redemption Movie Hours: 2 Redemption Movie KPH: 7 Total series episodes: 146 Total Kills: 197 Lifetime KPH: 1.349

So we head into a new season and the website updated. They counted one less kill than me, so I will go with that.
Jack needs to kill just 3 people to have 200 lifetime. Let's hope he gets it tonight!

I'm waiting for the official website to confirm, but I actually can only award Bauer with at best, half a kill. He may have even been shut out. Both Bauer and his new superhot redhead partner shot at the same time, and both hit. I think it will require some analysis of where the bullets hit, and which bullet is attributed to which person.

Time to update the Jack Bauer kill count. So far, Jack's off to a slow start in killing bad guys. He only has one kill in 4 episodes, and it was a co-kill. The official site gave the kill to Jack, who fired first, is extremely accurate, and was shooting to kill.
Here are the stats:
Season 1: 10 Season 2: 30 Season 3: 14 Season 4: 43 Season 5: 38 Season 6: 49 24 Redemption Movie (2 hours): 13 Season 7: 1 =============== Season 7 Hours: 4 Season 7 KPH: 0.250 Total series episodes: 150 Total Kills: 198 Lifetime KPH: 1.320

It took awhile, and he's off to a slow start, but Jack Bauer has killed another bad guy. Awful beginning, and it wasn't a great episode, but Bauer is still the man. This episode was co-written by one of the worst writers in Hollywood, who after butchering Star Trek into the ground, has been hired to butcher another proud franchise.
But anyway, here are the stats:

I stood next to Keifer Sutherland in the Frolic Room on Hollywood Blvd.
He so short. He couldn't hurt a fly.

After a slow start to the season, we can chalk up 6 kills for Jack as of last episode, including the milestone 200th kill. This gets Jack's KPH (kills per hour), up to a respectable 1.143.
Again, the crappy writer has brought down the show to a lower level, as Jack tends to say "copy that," every other sentence. But it's still fun TV.
Here are the stats:
Season 1: 10 Season 2: 30 Season 3: 14 Season 4: 43 Season 5: 38 Season 6: 49 24 Redemption Movie (2 hours): 13 Season 7: 8 =============== Season 7 Hours: 7 Season 7 KPH: 1.143 Total series episodes: 153 Total Kills: 205 Lifetime KPH: 1.340

I missed this week's episode. I didn't even think of it. Tells you how far this show has fallen out of my conscience. I've seen every single one before this week, but this show is an unmitigated flop. I feel like I have to watch it now, because I've devoted so much time over the years to it. But it blows.

You mean this season?
There's a reason for that. Again, the worst writer in Hollywood was hired to do this show, and he has co-written 3 of the first 7 episodes, including the last 2. I don't get how this guy gets work.

Chalk up another 5 kills for Jack, who has picked up the pace after a slow start. Jack only killed one person in the first 5 episodes, and just two people after 6. But in the last 2 episodes, Jack has managed to kill 11 people. I guess that's why you judge it season by season. He is still behind last year's record pace, but is on track to kill 39 people, which while not a record, isn't too shabby, especially since he had to work an extra 2 hour shift in the Redemption movie.
Here are the stats:
Season 1: 10 Season 2: 30 Season 3: 14 Season 4: 43 Season 5: 38 Season 6: 49 24 Redemption Movie (2 hours): 13 Season 7: 13 =============== Season 7 Hours: 8 Season 7 KPH: 1.625 Total series episodes: 154 Total Kills: 210 Lifetime KPH: 1.364

I don't have yesterday's stats, though I think he killed one person. However, I did not update last week, when he blew away Dubaku's driver. What pisses me off about last night's episode was the required suspension of disbelief.
Yes, the show is not exactly grounded in the ultimate reality. There have always been things you just have to shut up and roll with, but last night was just too much to ask. I can't imagine in real life our Secret Service being so ridiculously incompetent that a small group of soldiers could waltz into the White House and capture the President.
Are you kidding me?
Plus, are they seriously arguing that there is only one room in the White House that is safe for the President? Or that the President couldn't make a PHONE CALL? They could jam all communications with a lap top? The White House safe room doesn't have a secret exit off the grounds?
Awful.
Here are the stats:
Season 1: 10 Season 2: 30 Season 3: 14 Season 4: 43 Season 5: 38 Season 6: 49 24 Redemption Movie (2 hours): 13 Season 7: 14 =============== Season 7 Hours: 10 Season 7 KPH: 1.4000 Total series episodes: 156 Total Kills: 211 Lifetime KPH: 1.353

The show has built up enough street cred to deal with the awful writing this year.

You know, I found it very disturbing to see Jack Bauer lecturing me on my carbon footprint during the commercial breaks this week.

Good episode of 24 last night--best in a long time. Lots of twists and turns in the plot, and considering 2 episodes ago was arguably the worst episode in the history of the show, it's been an impressive turnaround.
Just as important, the Jack Bauer Kill Count site finally updated, so...

So last night's 24 wasn't a great one. The writers are not very good, and the twist with Tony was so predictable, I called it the second Tony was freed.
Anyway, no kills last night, so here are the updated stats:

and finally Jack bauer has been killed. By The Fox execs who mercifully pulled the plug on this increasing unintentionally comedic show. The only thing making it worth watchable lately is just how bad it has been. This whole season has been Kim being chased thru the wood s by a cougar and Johnny Drama

I can't even put into words how angry I am about this season. The last 2 seasons have been terrible, but this one is even worse. That's what happens when you hire the guy who is known for butchering Star Trek into the ground to write for the show.
Jack Bauer will likely be going to the movies, but fortunately, it will be a different writing team.
