Frustrating as hell, because they should have won that game by 20. Then again, they should have also lost that game by a much bigger margin. The game turned in the last 90 seconds when Stockton made a 3 pointer to go up by one. That little extra point changed the whole dynamic. They traded a bucket, and valuable time.
But the worst part was with about 18 seconds left, Stockton was on the line. They made one shot, and missed the second. Instead of a clean rebound, it turned into a jump ball, and with the possession arrow the wrong way, it automatically became Stockton ball, which forced another foul, and it turned into a 4 point lead. That was it.
Though I am of course rooting for F&M to finish 3rd in the tourney (they were down 4 as of this post), it should be noted that the last two times F&M made it to the final four, they finished fourth, and in both those years, the Yankees won the World Series (1996 & 2000).

I didn't piss anyone off. In fact, I was glad to be covering this D3 Final Four.
F&M lost and took fourth. Stockton continued its cold shooting and finished second. Washington won its second straight D3 hoops title.

I take it as a good experience for F&M to get that far, and considering their starters next year will be just one senior, 3 juniors and a sophomore, the future definitely looks bright. Plus, rumor has it that they got a commitment for some shooting guard that can actually make a 3 pointer, and that will dramatically improve the team. As they get more experienced, maybe some of those stupid and frustrating missed layups will fall. They should have destroyed Stockton, but they didn't. Ugly game, bright future.
Oh, and on another note, I heard there was some sort of big montage video of highlights from all 4 teams' journey to the Final Four in the sectionals. According to the person I went to the games with, we were all over that video. I hope to get a copy.

I don't play in the game of 'ifs' because if certain Stockton players played the way they did the entire season up until that point, it wouldn't been close. However, they didn't and it was and they lost today.

I'll believe you on that. They looked like a team that lives for the fast tempo, high paced game. Last night, both teams should have killed each other for different reasons.

John Calipari is all set to pull a Nick Saban, bail on Memphis, and become the highest paid basketball coach in NCAA history.
Looking at a 35 mill contract with UK!
A local Memphis new station even had a live streaming web cam focused on the Memphis U gymnasium back door, and the front door of Calipari's house! HAHAHA! They caught him and family leaving, followed him to the airport and reported him boarding a flight to Lexington.

I love that people are saying that The Big East has at least a 50% chance of winning the National Championship since they have 2 teams in the Final Four.
Ehhh, that's like Me, Balls, Tom, and Lennox Lewis having a single elimination boxing tournament and claiming that HeckleHouse Members have a 75% chance of winning.
Fuckin' Tarheels.

More like access cable.
Gotta root for the Huskies, since there's no Duke/UNC I don't give a shit what UNC does(no offense Lindsey). But if I were a big fan of any team, I'd be scared to face Villenova. Should be fun tonight, pre-party party with the Final Four. Being born in the beginning of April fucking rules.

Dominating performance, shitty game with ZERO excitement from the opening tip off. Lindsey is happy, but as someone who doesn't have a favorite school, that just plain sucked. Maybe I'm just still pissed I didn't get to see a Duke/UNC game in the tourney, those are always fun.
Pretty impressive though, not just the game, but the run this entire March Madness and 2 titles for Roy Williams in 6 years.

If the Nets won the lottery this year, I think I'd drop dead on the spot.

I hate Vince Carter. No offense, Lindsey, but he's all style, no substance. He has no heart. He wasn't like this as a Tarheel.

Vince Carter is better as the caddy, not the golfer (i.e. Scottie Pippen). If the Nets nab Blake Griffin, he'll be the face of the franchise. Carter can go back to worry about his "touches" and let Blake shoulder the burden of the hard work (defense, boards, intimidation, etc...)

At least take this to the bank - Blake Griffin will make the last several number one overalls (i.e. Greg Odin) look like chumps.
Well, they've already looked like chumps, but you get the point.
