Suzy's pitching has scored the most points thus far; Knoblauch's has scored about 13 points less over the course of the season.

I had a bike once.
Once Ryan Howard and Manny Ramirez heat up none of this will matter.

Justin .... the 2 closers that you are using right now are nothing to write home about..... and if you think that Shields is going to be a "good" pitcher this season, I have the right to think that Pedro is going to be a "great" pitcher for whatever starts he makes .... you have to take last season out (he wasn't right all season) but before that he has had GREAT numbers year after year (and in the paper they are reporting that resting under the mango tree has made him feel better than ever) ....... and by the way don't forget to make that pu......

Really? Pedro had great numbers 2 years ago? Good thing he's only like 30, right? Because that would suck if he was old. Glad he feels better, though.
And don't worry about my closers. At least I have two people (wait....4 people) that actually have the job.

Justin .... YES ..... Pedro had great numbers 2 years ago (the last time he was healthy) ....unless 16-8 or 16-9 with a very low era and whip and high k's is not a good year by your standards....
as for the closers if it wasn't for injury I have 3 guys that have the job..... and they are as good as yours .... or better (unless of course you have K-rod and I didn't see him).....
is good to have 4 closers, now you just need a C..... don't get Doumit .... he is taken

If it wasn't for injury? So, in other words, they aren't closing? They are useless, just like your draft picks that are sitting on the bench until August, when you'll be well out of the race. Don't worry though...Laura should still finish behind you.
As for Doumit, I really didn't want him. I kinda prefer someone who has a spot every day. Judging by your team, that doesn't seem to be a concern for you.

Justin ... GIVE A FUCKING BREAK ...... yeah like it is my fault that within 4 weeks of the opener my 3 closers went on the DL ..... I'm sure that you knew on the draft that Gagne, Gordon and Dotel (All of then with SECURE closer jobs) will go on the DL within 3 weeks ..... Let me tell you if you are that good and you knew all that shit I'm surprised you haven't won the league EVERY YEAR instead of 2 times...... As for me being out of the race by August...... the beauty of it is that we will get to see who is right.... it may be you, I'm not denying it (specially if I keep on getting hit with 2 DL moves a week).... BUT (and there is always a but) if I'm hanging around 200-300 points when my guys (Pedro and Clemmens --- hopefully) return you better watch out.... because I will win this shit !!!!! I still think the winner is going to be Suzy..... but I think my team is better than a few others (yours and Tom's being 2 of them)..... but as I said before we will get a chance to find out shortly...... And by the way ....I have told you a few times and I'm going to tell you again .... let's make a little side bet (a bottle of whatever you drink) .... I have lost over a 1000 on a game before so losing 2 bottles (1 to you and 1 to Tom) isn't going to kill me..... once again the ball is in your court....... Hopefully this injury thing will even out and we will see what happens....... As for your "dumb" remark about Doumit...... spot everyday ? most catchers get 1 or 2 starts off per week.... in this case he plays 1B, C and OF...... he is hitting 5th most days in the lineup.... and to be honest with you since all the C were gone when I decided to draft a Catcher, now I have no choice but to pick from "leftovers"...... the McCanns, Martinez's and Mauer's of the world weren't available yesterday when I decided to pick up Doumit.... Last year I went with Willingham at C.... when he played the OF most of the time.... I figured (and hoped) that Doumit is this year's Willingham ..... once again we will find out soon......

"I'm sure that you knew on the draft that Gagne, Gordon and Dotel (All of then with SECURE closer jobs) will go on the DL within 3 weeks ....."
While it was odd that they went down in that short a time, all three have been a mess with injuries the last few seasons, so why are you surprised? Jw

John even if they all had injury problems you still have to be surprised that all 3 went down in such a short amount of time..... no big deal, it seems like Gagne may be coming back and Dotel should be comming back in 2 weeks or so.... I wans't only talking about my closers, I was talking about my whole team when I said that they were dropping like flies.... but like I said before sometimes this things even out during the season......

While I can't say if Suzy's 115 point last night was a record, it's very possible that the 189 points over 2 days is. 5 starts in 2 days. 5 wins and a save. Hell, she even had a win on her BENCH.
This improves her team's pitching staff's record to 21-6. Her team is striking people out like mad. 243Ks is 44 Ks ahead of her nearest competitor. And her team is even mean, having plunked 10 batters. Only Jose's team has been meaner.
Suzy's team ERA is 3.02. You get pitching like that, and no one can keep up.
As for the session, it's not out of the question Suzy might set a record. I shouldn't even bother listing the rest of you until someone gets within 100 points of the lead, but I will. No one has ever managed to score 800 points in a single session before. Could Suzy be the first?
Suzy--457.33 Pops--351.67 Evan--346.33 Milton--336 Capone--321.67 Knoblauch--321.67 Neil--297.33 Jose--277.67 Justin--270.67 Larry--261 Tom--254.33 Laura--191.33

I'm considering suspending Pops for a day for using the phrase "you go girl." No male should be allowed to say that. Tom and I are going to have to talk about this through e-mail.

Wow. Laura's team is doing terribly. Already in last place in the overalls and in the session, Laura pulled a nice trifecta last night by only managing 3 points--the worst on the night. She is pushing to become 200 points out of 11th place in less than 3 sessions. Wow.
Pops gained some points on Suzy in the session but Suzy should have all her starters going again before the session ends, so it's looking good for Suzy to take her first session out.
Suzy--486.33 Pops--404.67 Milton--389 Knoblauch--359.67 Evan--355.33 Capone--334.67 Jose--314.67 Neil--312.33 Justin--296.67 Larry--282 Tom--262.33 Larry--194.67

The current record for winning a session is 784.33, by Larry in Session 9, 2005. Suzy has 4 days to catch Larry. She is currently at 526.33 points and should have all 5 starters going between now and the end. It's NOT going to be easy. She needs to AVERAGE 64.5 points a night. She will definitely need some strong hitting and some saves to beat the nasally enhanced former champion.
Meanwhile, Laura actually had a decent night. But just to show what kind of a season she's having, Ted Lilly gives up 2 runs in 7 innings, with just 1 walk and 4Ks, and she only gets 8 points out of him.
Suzy--526.33 Pops--432.67 Milton--418 Evan--410.33 Capone--399.67 Knoblauch--388.67 Neil--353.33 Jose--349 Justin--330.67 Larry--325 Tom--298.33 Laura--260.67

Aight... im ready to give everyone an early morning chuckle......
ON THE BLOCK. Kei Igawa and Robinson Cano.... for a top 10 starter and off the hook second baseman.
Dont everyone message me at once... Chalk it up to a rookie mistake.

It wasn't a mistake drafting Igawa. Not before the season started, anyway. You just took him too early. I mean, obviously he stinks, and, in hindsight, he wasn't worth it at all. But he would have gone at some point. All Yankees starters get drafted in deep leagues.
Look at it this way...at least you didn't waste a first-round pick on a pitcher that is going to be out for another three months.

I wonder in how many leagues other than ours Igawa was drafted before Wang.
There are tens of thousands of fantasy leagues, but I really wouldn't be surprised if we were unique in that category.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Justin.. However as balls clearly pointed out... I should have (larry even said it draft day) picked wang over igawa. It was a mistake not listening. However, I was hoping to pull the ace out of the hole... now i just have a slop sink of a pitcher.

From the Wong & the Wolfetone's to Neil " Xi'e Xi'e " for picking Igawa before Wong.

playing the role of captain obvious. walkman john.
wang falling in the draft was expected. at least by me. he was going to be out a month with that hamstring injury. but picking igawa before him, i felt was a reach. but i cant totally kill neil for that. although, i wouldnt have grabbed him there, thats for sure.
