Thing is, Igawa at best projected as a bottom of the rotation guy--AT BEST. If he is picked in the 25th round, ok. But at a time when you're still choosing your starters, it was a bad pick. The guy throws less than 90 MPH. I think it was Tom, who finished second in 2005, who pointed that out to me. The Igawa signing was a joke. But hopefully he can turn things around in the minors.

I was calling Pops an idiot. But if you want some, come get some!
I got 3 starters going tonight. The worm will turn. My hitting is still amongst the strongest in the league. I am not all too worried.

Hard to do a good write up on an uneventful night when the last place team scores the most points. But I shall try to do better on the morrow.

Tom, let me brake it down for you. Just like your arm & team have broken down on you. I was thanking Neil for picking Igawa before Wong. " Xi'e Xi'e " is Chinese for thank you . So the next time you belly up to the, all you can eat, Chinese buffet you may want to say Xi'e Xi'e to the staff as they will no doubt have to keep restocking the food for you . It sounds like, Shea Shea. Oh, and Doe Shea means a thousand thanks in Chinese because I am sure you will be making a thousand trips to the buffet.

Lilly's performance last night is tops for my pitching staff... how SAD is that??? I love the guy and all, but he was never supposed to be my ace.
My 17th round pick is outperforming everyone picked ahead of him, save for Torii Hunter, Rickie Weeks & Alex Rios... and with a 2.78 ERA and 42 Ks over 45.1 IP, it is pretty pathetic that I've only gotten 87 points out of him. Way for the Cubs to give him some run support... f'ing losses when he gives up 1 or 2 runs. Gay.
Let's just say that I had SOME expectation of performance of of guys like Pujols, Zimmerman, Furcal, Zambrano. Slackers.

The man of the hour today is Mr. Bronze, aka Ignorant Evan. His team scored a nice 111 points, which propelled him into 4th place, and pulled him within 10 points of his very familiar 3rd place spot.
Larry's team is floundering a bit, and he's having a very poor standards--definitely not up to the expectations of the heavy preseason favorite.
Evan's performance actually made a session out of it with Suzy, as he has pulled to within 50 points of the leader. However, since he used 3 starters last night, and Suzy should have 5 starts left, it would take a lot of misfortune for Suzy not to hang on and take the session.
Kudos to the Swingin' Dicks as well. With 92 points, Justin, the only 2 time champion, has pulled ahead of Tom, who came in second in 2005.
Tom won the booby prize last night, scoring the least points with 18. Another day, another 2 losses on the mound for the High Hard Ones, who are struggling mightily on the mound.
Here are the standings:
Suzy--567.33 Evan--521.33 Milton--475 Pops--452.67 Capone--426.67 Justin--422.67 Knoblauch--412.67 Neil--410.33 Jose--386 Larry--361 Tom--316.33 Laura--289.67

It wasnt funny. First off, any girth I have is not from "eating." I am sure I eat less than him. In fact, I probably eat less than most of the league. My eating habits are very top notch. Its drinking that put this gut on me. Whatever...
I have been to two all you can eat buffet places in my life, both times on party invites. But knock yourselves out!

Today is probably going to be the night that decides the session. Though there are 2 days of baseball action left, Suzy has 4 starters going tonight. For the first time in a long time, Suzy actually had a pitcher take a loss. To Evan's credit, he's actually made a battle out of this session, pulling to within less than 30 points of the leader. Milton, who had the best night, is within 50 points of the lead.
So a lousy night by Suzy's pitchers tonight will certainly make a game of it. It also looks like Larry's record is not in danger anymore.
Larry, the heavy preseason favorite, has slipped to fourth now. It could be possible that this session breaks Larry when we look back. A top tier team can't really afford to lose a session by 200 points.
Tom is also having a lousy session. He started the session in 4th place with a solid lead on the pack behind him. But unfortunately for the 2005 runner-up, the pack swallowed him up and is currently trying hard to digest him. At the rate he's going through the system, he could be shit out in 10th or even 11th place real soon.
Remember when Knoblauch was in first in the session? Neither do I. And what could you say about Laura that hasn't already been said other than, "goodbye."
Suzy--580.33 Evan--551.33 Milton--530.67 Pops--473.33 Knoblauch--447.67 Capone--438.67 Justin--429.67 Neil--424.67 Jose--409 Larry--377 Tom--335.33 Laura--294.67

Balls... why am i listed twice on the standings? and since im listed two times can we double the point values to give me a combined 833.67 and be crowned winner of session 3? Cause not even with Suzy's sizable lead will she catch a 833 point total..... Also i want to be first to say... My BENCH did better then my starters last night. My team is in a shambles. There will be LOTS of changes come sunday.

Two of my pitchers are going against each other tonight. I hate the Phillies. Hamels was supposed to go tomorrow and not today.

Its actually been funny, even to me, to watch my pitching absolutely implode. Well, my bullpen gets a pass, they have actually been quite strong. But my starters....great googly moogly!
Good thing my hitting is keeping me within shouting distance of respectability. I am confident next week the sun shall shine on my mound!

I think instead of looking at the pitching, I'll cover the hitting this week when I get to it. Tom is 10-20 right now. If he were just a .500 team, he would have another 85 points, and be a lot closer to the top tier. There are only 2 teams under .500 in pitching. Laura is the other one at 12-21. Even Jose is over .500.

My pitching would not have me nearly so sad if a few of my hitters could stop putting up the donuts...
