I think some smushy faced dogs are good looking...even quite "handsome" - particularly boxers. Bulldogs are OK too. Those Sharpie's are even tolerable. But those pugs...the smushed face, the wide-set bug-eyes, the snorting, and their little bodies....the just reminds me of ugly little annoying trolls....like the one from the movie Cat's Eye that was trying to kill little Drew Barrymore. Great fucking movie. I forgot all about that one.

It took a month, and I figured I had to go with the Hogan look.

Balls, in all due respect, that mustache looks fake. Do you have any other proof here?
I call shenanigans.

I did perform a stupid moustache trick, where I took a comb, stuck it in the stache, and it stayed.

Was that from Highlight's magazine?
I remember every single pediatrician's office had that mag when I was a kid.

And I just saw the website...that mag is still in circulation.
I'm going to get my 9 year old a subscription for X-Mas.
EDIT: ooops, sorry Tom, I speedbumped you there.

I have picked up Highlights here and there while in Penn waiting for a train, and did some activities out of there with Emma. I think its a great magazine for the kids. I was also going to sub, and tabled it, but will revisit it. I recommend it.
There are different issues for different age groupings, make sure you nab the right one, Cho.

Maybe life would have worked out differently for me if I had spent more time reading Highlights and less time reading Mad.
Speaking of.....I'll take it to the Angry Thread.

Well, he was a great foreign policy president. Temporary move. Tom and I got our signals crossed as to whose week it was to pick the top picture. I thought it was Tom's. My mistake, but I am actually giving the rest of the week to the good sheriff from whenever he wants to take over. He's getting one of the most important weeks of the year. Hulkamania week!

Can a resort that big be so devoid of talent? Frank Williams could probably be WWF Champion there too! ;D

To answer the questions:
1. They spelled my name wrong. 2. Yes, the village was that devoid of talent. I ended up hitting for the cycle and clocking 2 HRs. I would have had some hits, but nowhere near that many in a real league game. They had 3 OFers. In left was a French guy who never played. In center was a 47 year old guy who probably wasn't all that good when he was 27.
I played well, but yes, the talent pool wasn't up to par that week.

Which one was on crutches: the French guy, or the 47-year-old? ;D

They didn't need crutches. They were bad enough without them. Hell, crutches might have improved their game. Sometimes though, there are enough people where the talent actually is pretty good and you get a good game going. This was a good game, but the competition wasn't up to par.

In regards to Balls' posting of Demond Wilson on top today - just last week I saw a snippet of him on The OReilly Factor, where Bill was chatting with him about Sanford and Son, and good friend Redd Foxx. Wilson actually has a book coming out this spring, about his experiences with Redd and the show. I am looking forward to that one.
I remember he was a Reverend or some such, but there was absolutely no mention of such during the freewheeling 5 minute interview.
I'll say it again - Sanford and Son is my favorite television show EVER.

I'll say it again - Sanford and Son is my favorite television show EVER. Tom, I remember the story you told me back in 1994 about you walking down the street with some friends, you walked past a hooptie and you just broke out the Sanford & Son song mid-phrase of whatever you were discussing. Didn't the guy in the car want to kick your ass?

Today's black history month picture salutes the greatest black artist of all time. I say this, since he is the only black artist I know. Ernie Barnes' paintings came to prominence on the hit television show, Good Times. As we all know, JJ was an arteest, and it was Barnes who provided the artwork. The picture I chose is called Sugar Shack, which was featured in both the opening and closing credits of the show in seasons 3 and 4. One of the better episodes, and an early one featured his work, Black Jesus, a painting that seemed to bring good fortune to the Evans family. I wonder if Florida wished she kept the painting after James died. DAMN DAMN DAMN!

That's not black Jesus, that's Ned the Wino.
