Hogan is better than Flair and HBK combined. He is the best of all time. And there's a reason there can be no farewell tour. The power of Hulkamania will never end. It's the strongest force in the universe.

Wow, great insightful contribution Balls. You don't even have opinions do you, you just repeat shit over and over. Another reason there will never be a farewell tour is Hogan doesn't have the respect of his peers like Naitch does. The end case closed period.

Of course Hogan doesn't have the respect of his peers. He has no peers. He was the greatest of all time by far. He has the respect of the Hulkamaniacs, who train hard, say their prayers, eat their vitamins, and believe in themselves.

The problem is that some of these celebrity guests just are so out of place and not famous enough to get a great pop. The ones that worked the best are the ones that had wrestlers helping them out.
Santino was awesome last night. The crowd gave him a hell of a hand.
He is the funniest wrestler in years.
If I'm not mistaken, you guys mentioned Bob Barker will be a guest host.
I think THAT one will get a nice pop. Everyone likes Bob Barker.

Well, like them or not (and I share the view on the celeb guests being people most give a hoot about) the ratings are up with these folks, at least 10% and sometimes more. The gimmick is working. The list of future celebs is wild, from Mayweather to Rachel Ray, to Barker to Al Sharpton. Others include the Osbournes and Danny DeVito. Its gotten to where Variety did a story on this, and compared Raw to a late-night talk show, as a way to push your product.

Jerricho compared Raw to SNL and says it's sort of always been like that, And with a gimmick like this you're going to have guys who are good and guys who will struggle to get it. Then you'll have the guys who flat out suck and he's right. But I still think it's a cool concept and it's fun to see how certain guys will be used, how they adapt and take to this.
The only one I'm not looking forward to is Sharpton, what good can he be? Is he going to start a new Nation of Domination?

James funny thing is Sharpton is the one I am looking forward to the most (outside of the few old school wrestlers that appear from time to time).....

I knew the fan was a work. Also before I guessed The Miz, I did say what other 2nd / 3rd Generation wrestler was down in the minors waiting to come up!

Raw last night was terrible . I literally fell asleep on and off a couple of times watching. What a downer that show is after seeing some strong stuff on the PPV, Smackdown, TNA, and even ECW.

Turned it off when the divas started wrestling. I'll pick it up later.
I'm curious if Mayweather being late was part of the show, or if he really is that big of an asshole.

He actually had a legal problem early in the day....his car was spotted at the scene of a shooting, and the police ransacked his house. Not sure if this had anything to do with his late arrival, but there was question throughout the day if he was going to be there at all.

totally agree. I saw the Dusty turn coming, but didn't see Orton then turning on Dusty coming at all. Where do we go from here? It says a lot about the current product that that was the high water for raw in August

Of course they rectified everything in one night, as all that led to - when the camera were off, a match between the 3 members of Legacy vs DX....AND DUSTY RHODES. And the fans treated Dusty as a hero as he elbowed Orton all over the place.
Where I think this is going - Cody feigned outrage, and is "in on it." I dont think Dusty will necessarily be involved. But yeah, Ted will be going face at some point, for his Marine gig....and will be replaced by his brother Brett.

Yeah I read about the match on one of the sites....When Arn was behind the wall with the mic, I lost it!!
I am sure Balls is counting the minutes to next Monday and Bob Barker hosting.......Yesterday proved yet again that the old wrestlers are the best at the guesting gig but I get that they don't get the media attention the celebs do and that is the purpose of the whole thing..I don't even want to think of the media if/when Lebron hosts.....

I can't WAIT for Bob Barker to be hosting. I hope they give him a special Price is Right microphone too.
But that said, I agree 100 percent that the old wrestlers are way better at this than outsiders.
I'm sure there are some celebrities that would be naturals at it. But last night's Raw was one of the funniest and best Raws I can remember in a long time.
That fall of WCW skit was brilliant. The making fun of HBK thing had was awesome, and when they did the Shockmaster thing, I lost it too.
The Dusty thing was very well done. I really enjoyed this installment.

Just got my tix for Raw at the Garden on November 19th. I felt like treating myself so I spent a lot of my money for good seats and since no one I knew wanted to spend the amount I did I'm forced to go solo so I treated myself and got floor seats. Right by the stage in the corner where the wrestlers use the steps to get in the ring. If you were to be looking at it on tv, I'm on the left of the camera if it's the hard sell shot they usually show where the ramp is to the left and announcers to the right. Row AA too, so it's front row. It may very well be the best seats I ever had for wrestling.
So is anyone else going? I believe Survivor Series is close to that Raw so it should be a pretty big Raw hopefully. I also heard that The Rock may be special host for that show. I had read rumors that it was going to be at a big market and Raw at the Garden seems like the perfect place. It could very well be one of the more memorable Raw's in some time.

Rock is hosting sometime in January, after his next movie comes out in Nov, and just before "The Tooth Fairy" comes out that month. Balls worst nightmare?
Vickki returning to Smackdown......... Here's another one.....Umaga is most likely returning as well.

Raw at the Garden Monday looks to be a good one, the Hot Rod is hosting, and a special appearance by the Undertaker teaming with Cena to face JeriShow and DX in a triple threat Tag Team match. And a Diva's title match between Melina and Alicia Fox, which I'm looking forward too cause I'll need 10 15 minutes to get two beers for the main event, so hopefully the Diva's match is second to last in front of the main event.
It will be cool seeing Piper, but I think they could have gotten someone more special for MSG, I know the Rock was rumored so that's why even though it's Piper, it still feels like it's not that special of a host, the guy was in the Royal Rumble a year or two ago. Rock hasn't been on live in years.
At least it's not Regis and Kelly. And if they got Big Ben to host in Pittsburgh then what's up with not having a Yankee or Ranger hosting at the Garden, it would get a huge pop if they did. But Roddy is cool, hopefully he's more than just match maker and does more than sit behind a desk, not taking bumps but it wouldn't be smart to treat Piper like other hosts.
I'm stoked about this card, first time I'll see DX in years, so I'll have all green and black on baby. Plus I need to get the new DX army hat, the camo DX cowboy hat, and the new wristbands. If I don't see a DX win, I'm going to be very sad, Cena and Taker better not go over.
If I'm not mistaken, it's the last Raw before Survivor Series right? The go home edition of Raw before a big four PPV should be a good time, I'll be surprised and let down if they don't do something cool.

Sounds like a good card. While I agree that the Rock's time as host will be great, I don't think it gets better than Piper--especially at the Garden--unless you get Hogan, which isn't happening obviously.
It should be a good Raw.
