Pretty good Raw last night. The Cena speech ran a little long, and seemed pretty weak, considering I doubt one person in the arena believed that he was really fired. It should be interesting to see what they do with him now. They could do lots of things, like rehire him as a referee, or have him do weekly run-ins as a fan (with a ticket of course). Or they could be boring and have him disappear for awhile only to reappear at a future PPV.
The highlight of the night was the Miz cashing in the title shot. That was done really well, and in a way that made Orton look cool too.

Maybe a week or two of much needed vacation for him...Shouldn't be long since they were advertising him participating in a 4-way for the strap on the MSG house card on Dec. 26th.....

He could take a vacation without such an elaborate plot line. It could be as easy as ignoring him for 2 weeks. Or have him attacked, and then out of action for a 2 weeks. He's been legitimately injured before as well, so he's had time off. All I know is, the Miz stole the show last night.

Cena Tweet.... Sorry i ran back in ring but i told Mr barrett that if he keeps taking short cuts it will come back to haunt him. Just got tix for raw in philly. I can only hope he makes more short cuts. "While watching Cena's "farewell" speech, I thought Cena was actually going to take some time away from the ring. But after reading that tweet, it doesn't look like that is the case at all. If WWE is going to keep playing this angle with Cena, it won't be long before Cena is "rehired" to have a match with Wade Barrett.

Looks like there will be no time off at all. I heard a rumor from Tom that is actually damn funny, but it will only be funny short term.

so let me get this straight. John cena loser a match with a stipulation that he's fired if he loses, and not only is he rehired by the next PPV, he doesn't even miss one Raw? So glad I haven't watched any WWE in well over a year. That won't change now that they've taken all credibility out of any and all future Loser leaves Town style matches

WWE Fans Recieve Late Christmas Present: Guest Host Idea Canned by WWE By Walla Balla (Contributor) on December 28, 2010 855
WWE has removed their guest star/host page from the RAW section of WWE.com.
The concept lasted over a year and a half, and what a painful experience it was for the fans. We had to see the likes of Pee Wee Herman, Mike Tyson, Ben Roethlisberger and others instead of actual wrestling.
That was the main problem I saw with the Guest Host concept. The WWE focused too much on them rather than build the storylines/feud they had going.
Week-in and week-out; it was all about the hosts and never about developing a feud to it's main potential--which is what should have been done. It even got to the point where it was Chavo Guerrero vs. Hornswoggle every week in some ridiculous gimmick match.
The guest host concept was a horrible idea, and it sparked what can be considered one of the worst times the WWE has ever had.
It did have a few bright spots though. Some guest hosts were obviously much better than others and it showed in some episodes.
The overall purpose of the guest host concept was to sort of show that the WWE can get well known celebrities to appear on Raw and that they could get lots of coverage by the mainstream media. In that sense, it was a success because it garnered attention that the WWE might not normally have gotten.
Thankfully, though, it's significance on WWE dropped little by little and WWE began focusing more on their storylines. And now it's, most likely, over.
Good riddance.

It ran its course. Besides, once William Shatner and David Hasselhoff host, there really isn't anyone else.
The only people they really missed were Chuck Norris and Adam West.

It would have been nice to see Santino in a Mr. Freeze or Riddler costume if Adam West hosted!

The best part overall with the hosts was Santino.

WWE: Tough Enough Set To Return As USA Network Plans 3hr WWE Monday Nights By Raymond Mullan (Contributor) on January 3, 2011 243
It appears USA Network are continuing to deepen its relationship with WWE by adding Tough Enough to the weekly lineup.
The revitalized Tough Enough series will debut on Monday, April 4, the night after WrestleMania 27, prior to Raw on USA Network.
According to the New York Times, which broke the story late Sunday night prior to WWE making an official announcement on today, Tough Enough will air Monday nights at 8:00 p.m. EST prior to Raw at 9:00 p.m. EST to create a three-hour block of WWE programming on USA.
The revitalized reality competition show will feature 12 men and women competing for a one-year WWE contract.
WWE says they're attempting to bring new viewers regular WWE programming by offering the "scripted reality show" prior to the start of Raw.
“It’s a way to bring eyeballs to the WWE product that wouldn’t necessarily watch a live event wrestling show,” said Kevin Dunn, WWE's executive TV producer.
The Times' report also focused on WWE's plans to start its own cable TV network with Kevin Dunn saying WWE is currently "talking to partners" about launching a network.
NBC Universal, the parent company of USA Network, is reportedly one of those partners. NBCU's imminent merger with Comcast will also be a factor.
"WWE executives have spoken publicly about wanting to start a cable channel, and the relationship with NBC and Comcast may prove useful," the Times reports.
More on this as it comes.

Completely different. Balls, you dont remember the old Tough Enough?
For one thing, the 12 contestants will live in a house. They will be shown training, and interacting together. They wont be doing dumb challenges like jousts and stuff like that. This wont be in front of a bored crowd. It wil be grittier.
Keep in mind that Ultimate Fighter now does much less of a rating that Tough Enough was doing back in the day. Tough Enough did fantastic in the ratings for WWE. It was dropped for other reasons, mainly that people coming out of the show were not ready to be rushed to the main roster, despite training on a TV show. There was also some complaining, from guys like HHH to name one, about it "exposing the business" too much at the time. But I believe that ship has sailed.
And that is also going to be combatted, by bringing in established Indy talent to this show. They wont be looking for people off the streets, or "bikini models" when it comes to the women on the show. They will be taking wrestlers with already a modicum of experience and certainly training, so if they do win the show, they will be ready to step to the main roster.
This is also not only a sole WWE venture, as they have hired a proven reality-show company to produce and work with them on this.

0/21/11 - Sting? ?? to face the Undertaker @ Wrestlemania since it's in Atlanta and WWE is set to release that Best of Nitro DVD. I'd be interested in seeing this match since they've never had a program with one another.
