I have not caught that particular tilt, but the Chickfight offerings are all out on commercial DVDs. And I have seen Melissa and Mercedes Martinez against a host of other opponents, but I dont think they face off on any of the SHIMMER shows I have not seen. Mercedes Martinez and Sara Del Rey actually did a time limit draw on one of the SHIMMER shows, and it was hard-hitting and very crisp.
I would get anything with Cheerleader Melissa on it, so I may end up seeking that out.

Sancho and co, I will be back on here with more skinny on the Chickfight tourneys and DVD offerings.
But check this out - Krissy Vaine is ALREADY GONE. She quit! Read below, its sort of an LOL. She was the one who attacked Torrie Wilson, there were rumors she was going to be Torrie's "jealous sister." As a farewell, she is my avatar. Say bye bye.
Krissy Vaine, who just debuted on the Smackdown brand on 9/28 in an angle where she laid out Torrie Wilson, is already gone from World Wrestling Entertainment. The word going around within the company is that Vaine and Ryan O'Reilly (who are involved) both asked for their respective releases because of the travel and distance apart while working the main roster.
Vaine signed with WWE in January 2006 and had worked for Deep South Wrestling and Florida Championship Wrestling while under her developmental deal. Before signing, she was a regular in the Mid-Atlantic independent scene, most notable as one half of the Team Blondage tag team with Amber O'Neale.
Ryan O'Reilly signed with WWE in August 2005 and at one point, was slated to be part of the revived ECW brand when it launched a year later as part of a tag team with Derek Neikirk. He never made it to WWE TV as a regular performer but was a major part of DSW during its time as a WWE developmental area and was in FCW in recent months.
O'Reilly had just been sent on the road in recent weeks for the Raw brand. Vaine was set to be on the Smackdown side of the roster, so the reality of that time and distance apart is said to have prompted the couple's decision to approach the company and ask to be let go from their deals.
As you can imagine, there were quite a few developmental performers rolling their eyes at the couple in recent days, feeling that they worked to get a shot with the company, only to waste WWE's time and throw all that work away just as they were about to benefit from that time and work. In the couple's defense, if they mutually decided to walk away because it's what they wanted for their personal and professional lives together, you can't begrudge them and can only wish them well.

PS - this just in - I just realized that I have MAV-TV. I think its part of the $4.95 sports package I got to see college games. The NHL Channel is due to be added this month. Anyway, I was checking for it, remembering Sancho's mention of such, and what happened to be on once I found it - an episode of Chickfight-TV. I recorded the last 30 minutes of such, and the hour of it showing on Friday at 1PM (which I am guessing is the same, and full, episode)
Cheerleader Melissa, my favorite, was in action against an Asian woman.
Coming up at 10 on that same channel is something called XCW Wrestling...I have no idea what that is. Taping it while we watch Heroes, which we DVRd Monday.

So out on the European tour the WWE is debuting Katie Lea, aka Nikia, who they may be calling "Katherine" She can wrestle. Of course, its probably not why they are bringing her in. She's another who first time I saw her I had no use for her, but in time she won me over by having some really good matches. It shall be interesting to see what they do with her. One positive off the bat - not another ditzy blonde. She's a brit, although I have never heard her speak so I cant talk to her accent. Here's a ladder match between she and Beth Phoenix in OVW (where they traded the title there) and a shot. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LXmd7f8h3g

Congrats to Gail Kim for scoring the victory last night to become TNAs first "Knockout Champion." Considering she has been hanging around that promotion for years yearning for some sort of womens division, its good they are making her the cornerstone of it for now. I like Gail Kim. She can certainly wrestle, she is much more comfy on the mic than she had been, and she is pretty easy on the eyes to boot.
One of the funny notes regarding last nights schmazz of a Gauntlet Match for that title, when Amazing (now being billed as Awesome) Kong was flipped over the ropes, her top popped and boobies were displayed. People are laughing or muttering that after all these years of waiting for a flash on a PPV, its a 300 pound woman who ended up doing it.

As I continue to have a conversation with myself in here... Another "knockout" for TNA wrestling! I know this one was backstage recently, was wondering if that was the case why she was not in the gauntlet. Its Indy favorite RAIN. Rain is good looking, a decent wrestler, and has a rep as "flabby." She wears shirts showing her paunch of a belly, its kind of a laugh on the message boards. At this recent taping she was playing a "fan" in the crowd, obsessed with Robert Roode. She was holding up a "ROBERT ROODES BIGGEST FAN" sign and the like, and all over the camera apparently mugging for the thing. So I guess a Miss Brooks - Rain feud is not far away. I like Rain better than a lot of the new additions.

She is better looking that Miss Brooks. Miss Brooks is quite, well, ugly.

I agree, Rain is really good looking. And whatever flab is laughed at doesn't bother me, I don't see it.
By the way, anyway catch that bump where Candice almost destroyed her face? Totally not Betsh fault, it looked like a freak thing where she meant to crotch the turnbuckle, but the angle or projection was way off and she hit the ropes at just the right, or in this case, wrong spot. Pretty scary though.
WWE.com had exclusive backstage footage of it. It's pretty sick, Steph is running around yelling at people to get out of the way, Candice chokes on the neckbrace and starts freaking out for water. She looked out of WWE.com is reporting she has a cracked clavicle and at first they said 4-6 weeks out, but changed to 6-8. The shoulder got fucked up and the impact of her heard hitting the mat put the birds flying overhead. Pretty sick looking, and good job to the ref for ending it real quick and putting the X up as soon as he did, it was fucked up.

Didn't see the cock up but went to see the backstage vid. Hope she is ok.
That said, I have no desire to see her return anytime soon. Her entrances have become HHH type obnoxious.

First off, we're not sure what Candice did to her face - and that is BEFORE she took that header - it looks like she had a lot of work done, and now she went from pretty damn good looking to butchy and fake. Lips, nose, whatever she did - not working.
Yeah, that spot just went wrong, Candice got tripped up on the ropes on her way down. Beth did not help her, though, by dragging her by the hair after the ref told her to get to the pin. Beth looked like a deer in headlights. But the flub was not her fault.
As to Candice, as skewed as she looks now, and how annoying her dancing is, she is working hard at the wrestling and before that tumble, and the early 1st pinfall aside, she was holding her own against a much better ring general in Beth.
Quick Rain note - I did not get a close look at her from the TNA show, but apparently she is done up to look pretty different. I guess in a Woman/Robin Green sort of way (Doom-Steiners, anybody)
And she certainly has flab. I think she knows, and is flaunting it, with her half shirts. She has what the oldtimers call a "Dunlop Belly." As in, "her belly dun-lops over her waist a bit."

I'm not a tubby chaser by any means but I think they little flap over the pant lines looks hot, at least on her.
As for Candice, I'm not too impressed. Yeah she better, but how good is that? She went from sucking to decent, nothing special. Let me see Beth vs Micki now, some good womens wrestling matches.

Micki is too much the clown right now. They need to give her some sort of edge again. Her best work was as a wacko. Now she is just someone who dances to the ring and slaps the fans hands on the way.

Yeah it's weak. It seemed for awhile they were setting her up to be filling Trish's boots, she had the run, however long it was, and now she's practically a midcard jobber. But, I hope they go a little further with Lance Cade pushing her out of the way of a Trevor Murdoch clothesline. With the look Micki kept giving Cade, it looks like they might, which would be an awesome way to get her some spark again. After a little push with London/Kendrick and Cade/Murdoch, she could be set up to go into a feud with Micki. Candice is out for 2 months, Beth has to fight someone. They don't have any other face divas on Raw do they? Maria? It has to be Micki.

LOL - here I was complaining that the divas were in a silly "Halloween costume contest" last night that looked like it was filmed for public access TV. I mused that they should have got into the ring in those costumes and mixed it up instead, only to have no-nonsense Beth (who was not even in the dumb costume contest) come out and destroy them.
Welp, tonight on Raw - they are having a "Divas Halloween Costume Contest." Come on, Beth, beat em' up.

In an oddity, all of the divas have been removed from WWE.COM. Profiles, mentions, everything. On the Raw page, for example, the Womens Championship title is no longer displayed. No one knows for sure what is going on. By the time you read this, it may be rectified. Most likely, WWE is setting up a new diva site. By why pull everything diva at this point? Very little chance they were ALL fired. More to come.

So today I just watched my first real Nattie Neidhart match. I had seen some clips on YouTube a while back. I was impressed. Apparently part of her developmental time in WWE includes training other female grapplers, so they think a lot of her wrestling abilty. Saw a match with Sara Del Rey, the current SHIMMER Champ, which went close to 15 minutes. It was realistic, and full of moves and counters, and very little phony flippity-flip stuff. Nattie was playing the heel here, and she was a good one. Howling back and forth with the crowd, making all kinds of heelish faces. Screaming and the like, acting off kilter. At one point she bellowed, "this is dedicated to my Dad!" as she threw a punch. As the heel, she was pulling all kinds of shady antics. She lost, but looked darn good in doing so. I got a kick out of watching her and thinking her Dad was goofy old Jim. I am a fan of the 2nd generation stars, and in her case some are citing 3rd, as her grandpop is Stu Hart (her Mom is a sis of Bret) She sports the pink and black and would be a good fit, although she is by no means "glamorous" and is even a bit butchy. But she has the heel mannerisms down, in old-school style.

WWE Smackdown 11/27/07 Roanoke Civic Center Roanoke, VA
Victoria pinned Nattie Neidhart in a dark match. They traded strikes and rest holds early, before Nattie got a couple near falls with an inside cradle and a Michinoku Driver II. Victoria would then take over and hit the widow’s peak for the pin; Decent reaction to Victoria.

I'm stoked for the Beth Pheonix/Micki James match. Yeah, the match with Melina for the number one contendership was sloppy(not worse than Kelly Kelly/Layla), but we know Micki can go and Beth is Beth. I've been wanting to see this match ever since Candice almost died. Hopefully they give them more time than they usual give the ladies in the ring.

They need to, to bring at least some semblance of credibilty to that division. I agree with you in the thinking that a Beth/Mickie battle can be a centerpiece - those are basically the two tops in the middling division. Jillian can actually wrestle a lick, as can Victoria. But the most promise of a good battle the looks credible is Beth and Mickie, for shizzle.

I'm not 100% sold on Jillian, she's better than Maria and a bunch of others, but she's sort of in the middle, not too consistent. But she gets as much heat as Regal, so it works. Victoria can go too, I was upset she got sent to Smackdown as I'm sure she is. But as far as Beth and Micki go, I'd be happy with a 9, maybe 11 or 12 minute match, but I'm sure they can go 15-20 mins. Sadly, it will be more like 6, so they can throw Khali in the ring(no knock on Finlay, but Khali?) to do nothing for 7 or 8 minutes. The match will technically be a 2 minute match, but the segment will be 10 and be a waste of time that could have gone to the London and Kendricks, the Holly-Rhodes team, Cade and Murdoch, Micki/Beth. All deserve more time than a handful of guys that are on EVERY card.

Stupid Karen Angle broke either her leg or foot, depending on who you want to believe, at last nights batch of TNA tapings. Those tapings will take us through the New Year. TNA Mobile is apparently reporting she broke her leg. I read an account it was something stupid like climbing out of the ring after a promo. Silly heels, I guess...Kurt carried her to the back while she shrieked in pain. I like her stuff. She is annoying and grating in a heel-Sable sort of fashion. She pisses people off, which is the point, and she is more fun to look at than James Mitchell, for one.

From the Torch...the girls continue to get over. Between this ratings news and the fact that the Knockout matches were considered the high point of the last TNA PPV, it seems its clicking.
Oh, and along with Miz and Morrison, the team of Angelina Love and Velvet Sky is the best thing in tag team wrestling today.
TNA Impact drew a 1.14 rating last Thursday, Dec. 13, with an average audience of 1.5 million viewers. Despite the star power of various former WWE stars and home-grown stars such as Kurt Angle, Christian, Robert Roode, Kevin Nash, and Scott Steiner, and despite the "Deal or No Deal" briefcase storyline throughout the show, the top rated quarter hour of the show (1.3) was drawn by the women's tag match with Miss Jackie & Ms. Brooks vs. Angelina Love & Velvet Sky plus the post-match arguing with Sharmell joining in.

Stumbled across this...so much for the Von Erich spawn.
Mike Johnson of PW Insider reports that the WWE has released Lacey Adkisson from her developmental contract. Lacey is the daughter of the late Kerry Von Erich. Lacey is a model and was signed by the WWE a few months ago with the intention to train her to wrestle. She has been at Florida Championship Wrestling and apparently hasn't been showing up to training lately. So it may have been that she didn't like the wrestling business and decided to leave.

So why no show training if she were "dying" to to wrestle? I get the whole death/Von Erich reference, but I thought your lame jokes were supposed to have double meanings? This joke doesn't even mean shit. Lame, even for Balls' standards.
