On a roll Balls, bad to worse. I mean I love the tasteless jokes like the next guy, but have some humor in it.

Balls, you're really missing lately with most of your jokes. I think you've run out of material. You may need to shelve the "class clown" act.

Death jokes + someone who isn't dead + MSB saying it = Balls stepped on Balloo's foot on first and cost my team the game in the 2007 Softball game.

And once again Balls takes a wrestling thread away from wrestling. You'd think this part of the board could be free from this crap. This section is sucking more and more every day.

You know, thats a salient point. Balls, this sort of thread is geared towards a niche. Womens wrestling. One would click in here to discuss the world of female grappling. Not to see your goofy jokes. Keep those in threads where that tired stuff is already entrenched, like the RIP thread, which has been polluted with that stuff since the beginning.
Leave the womens wrestling thread alone.

Here's something vaguely interesting I read in the last couple of days. Layla is, on her own time, training to wrestle. She is desperate to improve and understands she is crap in the ring. In fact, her recent match with Kelly Kelly was one of the all-time worst wrestling exhibitions ever, and if those two looked like the women you work with instead of those two women you see on TV, they would have been taken outside and shot for it. She is actually training with a guy that had a hand in training Chris Jericho way back when.
Layla has won me over a good deal. Her bubbly and silly girl persona was grating, but her mean persona works. She looks better with her hair straight, and she is not a potted plant. You can tell she tries, even though she is given nada to work with. I am also happy they dont refer to her as "Layla El" anymore, that sounds dumb.
I appreciate it when these diva search winners or those plucked out of a bikini catalog like Kelly was actually take the time to try to improve their talent in the ring, cause at the end of the day I would rather see them wrestle instead of just standing on the platform shaking their rump in a bikini. I left high-school a long time ago.
Go Layla!

So Sunny is actively barking for a WWE job, and apparently they are taking it under advisement. For the time being she is fooling around in the ring, having won one of them womens Indy belts out in Lake Hiawatha right around Christmas. I have not read much on the match, but I am sure she looked horrid, at least wrestling-wise.

So one night after Awesome Kong and Gail Kim had a show-stealer (and what many are calling the best womens match in the last 5 or more years) last night, Ms Kong battled Kim in what is being called a solid rematch at last nights TNA tapings.
Key thing here is Kong apparently came out with a "manager" who was donning Mid-Eastern garb, and was described on the Torch board as a "Shimmer babyface wrestler." I am thinking, and HOPING, its Cheerleader Melissa.
She could pass for Middle-Eastern, and was actually being considered as a manager for Mo Hassan back in those days. She even made a few house shows, completely wrapped in a burka. She is no diva, but that is a waste. She is a Hell of a wrestler, so I would hope whatever role she plays wherever, its not under a sheet.
With the increased emphasis TNA is putting on the Knockout division, I have been clamoring for Melissa Anderson to get a slot with the company since the beginning. This would make me whoop with glee.

So its been pretty much confirmed that Cheerleader Melissa IS indeed the second for Kong. Not sure of the direction of the character, but I am sure TNA is not paying her to stand there draped in a robe (and from all accounts TNA pays very well for these appearances) In the end, the best thing that could happen is Melissa and Kong splitting up and ending up in the ring. Melissa is one of the top womens wrestlers in the country, some would peg her as THE top. The whole "cheerleader" thing is actually supposed to be ironic, as she is stonefaced, badass, and ruthless. Perhaps its just another long road to an unveiling, as they did with Shelly Martinez and LAX, and Peyton Banks and Robert Roode. For a fan like me who only saw her on assorted SHIMMER and Chickfight offerings, the idea of seeing her weekly has me pleased.

The TNA Knockouts division kicks the shit out of WWE's womens division any day. It's packed with very solid wrestlers, most of which are very good looking to boot. Those who aren't like Kong and ODB put on quality matches.

Big "Knockout" news may be on the cusp. SPIKE and TNA are in talks to expand TNA programming on the network by an hour weekly....and that hour weekly would go to an all-Knockouts show.
This would involve not only more attention paid to the TNA female division, but the hiring of more hands.
One of the boosters in this is that in the last couple of months the highest rated segments on just about each TNA show has been a knockouts segment. I would be totally cool with this sort of programming, the TNA Knockouts division has been shooting and scoring since its inception.
My only gripe - and its a minor one cause its getting one of my favorites on TV, period, is hiding Cheerleader Melissa in Arab garb, and making her a comic mouthpiece for Awesome Kong. Pretty severe waste of talent, but I am just glad she has a full-time gig. Hopefully she will be able to display her talents in the ring, and eventually against Kong (with whom she had a tremendously hard-hitting battle in SHIMMER rings)

ya know i actually watched TNA last week and for all the dumb shit they do, the knockout 3 way was very good. i support an all knockout hour of TNA as long as they stray away form the dumb shit that plagues the rest of the promo. they could probly get better ratings with the chicks anyway

Yeah, so my current sig pic is Alexa Thatcher. Due to her looks, she is quite the fave on the Indy scene. She's like 20 years old, and in the last two years has gone from Kelly Kelly bad in the ring to where she put together a Hell of a hard-hitting match with Cheerleader Melissa, who is known as one of the top handful of womens wrestlers in the United States. You may have seen her make a TNA cameo as "Alexa Jade" getting completely squashed by Awesome Kong. After making her bones on the East Coast indy scene, she has become a regular in the quarterly or so SHIMMER tapings, going from opening match prelims to the battle with Melissa, and an angle where she was attacked with a crutch in between. She has also dabbled with Ring of Honor, which at her age is quite an accomplishment for a female grappler. So behold Alexa Thatcher - I am sure you will be seeing more of her down the line.

From a recent piece on wwe.com
the WWE Divas discuss their choice of rides, and here’s what some of our favorite female wrestlers had to say:
WWE Diva Maria: “I absolutely adore my car. It’s a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire.” Maria calls her car the Dream Machine, here’s why: “Because once I started to work all the time – not just doing small modeling jobs here or there or doing bikini contests – and actually started to have a steadier income, I was able to buy my dream car. When I got it, it was brand, spankin’ new.”
WWE Diva Beth Phoenix: “My favorite car, I currently don’t have it anymore. I had a 1982 black Pontiac Firebird, which is the exact same replica of the car in Knight Rider. We even had the tan interior and PMD seats and everything. It was our pride and joy.”
WWE Diva Candice Michelle: Rides in luxury and style in her 2006 Lexus GS300 sedan. “It’s freakin’ pretty bad ass. I’ve got some nice dubs on it, it’s sparkly charcoal, it has lightly tinted windows – it’s really classy,” she says.
WWE Diva Mickie James: “My car is a Ford Explorer SportTrac 4-x-4. I love it. I bought it because I wanted something in which I could get stuff done on the farm, but still is cute. And it is very cute. I like it.”
WWE Diva Melina: “You might be surprised that I got a Yaris. It gets great gas mileage. Plus, it’s a Toyota, and usually they last forever.”
WWE Diva Lilian Garcia: “I don’t have a car now, because I live in New York City, so my car is a MetroCard – it’s the subway!”

I wonder if her car had the red light on the hood that went back and forth but didn't seem to have any other function.

As a fan of the "wrestling" side of womens wrestling, I was completely blown away with Japan import Yoshiko Tamura. Caught her on one of the Chickfight tourneys, where she wrestled 3 times, against Allison Danger, my favorite female grappler Cheerleader Melissa, and MsChif. All 3 were hard-hitting matches. The match with Melissa went over 20 minutes! It beat out most mens ppv matches. Tamura has a whole arsenal of moves, and is quite a shoot-styler, peppering her opponents with kicks and knees, and working a submission style. One cool move she uses is with her opponent slumped in a corner she runs over, hops the second rope, and batters them in the corner with repeated knees to the head. She looks badass, with little frill outside of coming to the ring in dark assassin glasses. She yells a lot at the crowd in Japanese, which elicits boos. Not much of her work is available stateside in regards to DVDs, but I found a few of her matches on YouTube. Punch up her name and check her out, its a whole new way of grappling.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Nattie Neidhart era is commencing. Look for her tomorrow on Smackdown. One reason the WWE was hesitant to bring her in was a perception out there that she too closely resembled Beth Phoenix, and in fact when the spoilers of the show came out she was identified as Phoenix. Here's the scoopage... Michelle McCool wins the vote for Smackdown Diva over Cherry, then Victoria and Nattie run out and attack both (but not before Michelle had all kinds of trouble starting up the motorcycle she won) Folks, she kicks ass, and she is a tremendous wrestler.

See, that I dont know as of now. I dont even know if she was sporting any "pink and black" that night. I think at some point they need to acknowledge Jim as the Dad, cause she has some of his mannerisms down.
