I think it was kind of a corny reveal for the Bella Twins on Smackdown this week, although the "Stretch Armstrong" visual as Victoria and Natalya had a grab on each of em under the ring was kinda amusing. But for all the buildup and play towards the Twins tease, it was a fizz of a reveal.

CRAP!
Maryse got hurt, at a house show, of all things. Dislocated kneecap. This could be as simple as popping back in and missing a couple of weeks, or having to undergo surgery. It can also happen over and over, once it happens this first time.
She has overtaken all the others recently, and become my favorite female grappler, and by a larger margin every week. It was all coming together for her, including this title win this past week.
Grumble grumble. Get well, Maryse!

So i watched a few of the WSu dvds i got last month. some thoughts
- the commentary team of Missy hayatt and Sean HAnson is fuckin awful, i mean I like Missy but i do not want to hear her talk about The sportatourm or bill watts and Hanson just sucks. Mercedes Martinez is beast, i'm also digging Portia Perez. saw a decent match With kong Vs amy lee. the production is bad a some matches are very indyish. Foe some reason i like the soul sistas and roxxie cotton and annie social more for their gimmicks than work though. still got one DVD to finish.also in the womens wrestliing news front, 2 shows on the 10th in Jersey the new JAPW women' league ans WSU running on the same day. not sure how thats gonna work out

Dude, Portia Perez is friggin' awesome. On the very last show she just had a 35 minute match with Mercedes Martinez which truly showed her stuff. She also just had a tryout dark match with TNA just this past month, so we'll see where this goes. I have corresponded with her, buying a couple of her best-ofs, regarding some shipping issues - good folk. I have not seen that Amy Lee / Kong fight yet, but am looking forward to it. Amy Lee really won me over, after i thought originally she was a one-note joke. I like her brawling style, and no one has the image she does. I also corresponded with her, oddly enough, on MySpace, after asking her about her entrance song on one DVD. I am starting to warm to Annie Social, myself. I miss Kayla Sparks, you get a look at her in action? As to WSU, the production and the packaging is indy indeed, but we nabbed on the $5 sale so you cant go wrong. I wish they would hit the Island, I remember over a year ago they were supposed to bring the women to Deer Park and didnt. Missy can be overbearing, but I would rather hear her talk about Bill Watts and the Sportatorium than STDs, like she does on another disc. And wow, did she take a turn for the worse. From a natural beauty, to a ragged crone who has lips that look like those air balloons kids jump in at the fair.

Well, Victoria has retired. While the timing is dubious, what with all the cuts and all and her not fitting the WWE Diva image as much, this has been talked about for a few months. She has other investments, is in her upper 30s, and has had a nice run as far as divas go (since debuting as one of Godfather's ho's in 2002) WWE let he slip into the sunset with no ballyhoo, I think they could have built it more. I find it funny she lost on her way out too, but it is what it is. I wish Victoria well, she was a favorite of my daughter, and was somewhat funny this last year.

TNA has added another "knockout" to the division, Indy standout Ashley Lane, who will is going by the name of Madison Rayne, I believe. There are rumors she may end up the 3rd member of The Beautiful People.

TNA is still at it, with what can be considered a HUGE signing in regards to pooling womens talent. One of the top free agents out there is "Dark Angel" Sarah Stock, who can wrestle in tremendous fashion, and looks damn good in doing so. She has been tied with Mexico commitments, but apparently TNA has her on the dotted line. Most are looking at her as the rightful heir apparent to the top of the TNA womens divison.

Look for Gail Kim to debut on next weeks Smackdown. Its not any of the vignettes that have been running, and its not a match, thats all I will say on that.
She has also been added to the Mania battle Royal. It will be nice to see Gail Kim logging some ring time again.

Tonights TNA is a good haul for this womens wrestling fan. Sarah "Sarita" Stock debuts, she looks good and has a flashy style to her. And who is she wrestling? Cheerleader Melissa Anderson, out of the Raisha Saeed hood, under the name Melissa Flash, I think.
Melissa gets over with the crowd, hopefully we see more of her out of the getup. Also, TNA announced the signing of a Japanese female star I dont know all too much about, but those Jap female stars can do it.

So, while TNA is strongly considering adding a Knockouts only show based off the strong wrestling they get from that division, WWE goes out and signs another diva with absolutely zero wrestling experience. One Trinity McCray, an Orlando Magic dancer, who will start training in FCW this Monday. Bought in for looks alone.

Angelina Love released from TNA!!! As shocking as it is on the surface, it apparently has to do with VISA issues, and being legally allowed to work in the US. www.diva-dirt.com/In a huge shocker, former Knockouts Champion, Angelina Love was released by TNA last night. Angelina, real name Angel Williams, is Canadian and had been working in the States under a work visa which was issued when she was signed to her WWE developmental contract in 2004.
The visa has expired or is soon to expire, reports PWInsider. It seems as though she hasn’t worked out a new one in due time.
TNA’s ‘hands are tied’ cites a source to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, as they cannot employ her if she’s not legally able to work in the United States.Angelina and tag team partner, Velvet Sky were due to make the final rounds of the Knockouts Tag Team Championship tournament, later this month. At the Impact tapings on Monday & Tuesday, the Beautiful People won their first round match against Madison Rayne & Roxxi and later defeated Christy Hemme & Tara to advance to the finals against Sarita and Taylor Wilde. Love’s release surely throws a huge spanner in the works for the tournament. As the original Knockouts tag team, I had expected Love and Sky to become the first Tag Team Champions at No Surrender on September 20th.
One possibility could be that Madison Rayne replaces her in the finals teaming with Velvet Sky, against Saritaylor. Also at this past week’s tapings, Rayne had reunited with the Beautiful People after expressing she was sorry for costing Love the Knockouts Title at Hard Justice. It is assumed that Love will return to TNA after the whole situation is fixed. Though PWInsider does report that with her release, she’s no longer legally bound to the company and could even accept an offer from WWE.

From one thing I read, its important she gets the paperwork through. She may need to go back to, and stay in Canada, for like 90 days. The one crux in this is if WWE plays things right, and wants her - they can swoop in and take her. She is technically without a contract right now. But before anything happens, they need to get her VISA situation fixed. From other stuff I read, the fact she let it lapse is ridiculous in itself, and her fault.
For now Id imagine the Beautiful People will stay together as Velvet and Madison.

Yeah, she grew on me in a big way. She was actually a mainstay of the SHIMMER promotion, and a "tag team specialist." In TNA you dont see it, but she can wrestle, and in that promotion had some decent matches. She fits the looks part in the Beautiful People, but Angelina's charisma is going to be missing dearly. So how is this for a worst-case scenario? A VISA-issue expert of sorts is saying that this could result in Angelina banned from performing in the US for TEN FUCKING YEARS, and she may even have to pay back any money she made in the last couple of years, since her VISA expired.
Before you all pooh-pooh this, and cry for her, keep in mind if it was the Mexican that does your neighbors lawn that pulled this off, you'd be calling for his head.

Couple of notes regarding ladies in wrestling.
First off, tonight is LIllian Garcia's last night on Raw. She is leaving the business, and tonight is her sendoff.
In another note, TNA has signed the daughter of Kerry, Lacey Von Erich, and she will be debuting at this weeks television tapings.

I was sorta glum yesterday to hear that Melissa Anderson, aka Cheerleader Melissa / Raesha Saeed / Alissa Flash has parted ways with TNA. Not much more in the way of details. Who knows, maybe WWE is taking a bite....I was mad she was not involved in the recent Knockout tourney, she looked damn good in the last few months. If this was TNA showing her the door, I dont get it.
Also rumors her buddy Awesome Kong has "given notice" - its been quite the week for her, including slapping Bubba the Love Sponge upside the head after he made some disparaging remarks about Haiti. WWE has made it clear in the past that although she does not fit their bikini-clad image, they would be interested if she was available.

That news sucks the women's bouts on Impact are good. Kong and Flash putting on good/matches most of the time, what i've seen anyway. seems like WWE could sign them both if they want to take the Women's division to be more than the joke it is now.I think Melissa on raw could work well with mayrese ,and i would love to see Kong beat the shit out of Team Lay cool and feud with beth.
