Again, I disagree. To be blunt, he is lucky to have a spot on TV at this stage of his career. He looks a mess, and he brings down a lot of guys he wrestles. He is a NOSTALGIA ACT at this point.
They are giving him the grandest stage of all to go out on.

That still doesn't mean 6-7 years ago when he was wrestling better and first made his comeback after the GM role he didn't deserve the same courtesy two other, less deserving wrestlers got. I know it's Vince so it'd be rdundant to ask if he is that thick headed, but it's Naitch.
Hey, who's matches is Charlies Robinson going to call after Mania?

, sorry but I dont need a guy who blows up in 7 minutes so his matches are kept short winning the belt.
Tom just about every match on RAW is 7 minutes these days anyways....

I say this every year, but I really want Owen Hart in the HOF. He was always a favorite.

Please welcome the High Chief Peter Mavia and Rocky Johnson...Could this mean a cameo appearance for The Rock at Wrestlemania as he will be presenting them at the HoF ceremony? ??

It was probably a condition of putting those guys in.

Wrong. Rock will NOT be at Mania. He does not WANT to be at Mania. He has spent a lot of time distancing himself from wrestling, remember. The Hall is a different thing, its a classy thing to do, and he does like "being around the guys." But he does not need or want Mania, and they really dont want him taking spotlight off of what they are presenting that day.
What is true is that if Rock did not agree to do the ceremony they would not be putting in the High Chief or Rocky Johnson.

That's actually what I meant. I don't expect the Rock to wrestle by any stretch. But the Rock would almost have to be at the induction for those two guys to get in. I wonder if Toa from American Gladiators will be there too.

Yeah, wrestling is 100% out of the question, I think its safe to say he will NEVER be in the ring again in that fashion. I was addressing a simple wave to the crowd from the ramp, he is apparently even against doing that much.

I would never say never, but obviously he doesn't want that now. I don't blame him either. He's made piles of cash, has a career as a mediocre movie actor, and there is so much risk in getting hurt. He really set himself up well.

He is not worried about "getting hurt" in the ring. He is trying to wash off the stigma of being "a wrestler." He wont do that if he makes an appearance in the ring, wrestling. People in the know are confident he will never wrestle again. Its to the point his handlers, at his request, are telling interviewers to not even bring up the "ex-wrestler" thing.

Maybe in Rocky Johnson's case but the High Chief was deserved regardless imo. Rocky Johnson is a borderline HoFer imo.

The only person I feel strongly about that isn't in right now is Owen Hart. It's ridiculous that he's not in. You could throw Mr. Backlund into the mix as well. His time is overdue.

The Owen thing is not ridiculous - the WWE is taking their time with that, they just mended fences with Bret last year. In due time they will be bringing him back to induct Owen. They were not going to do it last year and take away spotlight from Bret, and they wont do it this year as they already have enough dead guys up for consideration, from Maivia to Solie, and others still not announced.
The WWE really do have a policy on keeping the event "uplifting" and too much death gets in the way. They do this annually, stop whining about Owen already....there was no way he was going to go in when there was such bad blood between Hitman and the WWE. That just got resolved a year ago.

They put Eddie Guererro in before his body was cold, and that's a load of shit. Owen Hart was a staple of the WWF and belongs there above almost anyone not currently in.
By bringing in Rocky Johnson, the WWF is lowering the bar. Now every tag champ should be in, like Demolition Ax, or King Haku.

Again, until last year the WWE was involved in a lot of problems with the Hart family, up to and including lawsuits for negligence. There was no way Owen was being touched while that was going on, especially with no one like Bret around to induct him. Bret made his peace with them last year, and Owen is back on the clock.
Enough already.

No, not this year. Bret just went in last year, I would wait a couple of years to induct Owen.

Well the one thing about Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas was they were the first WWWF/WWF/WWE black champions and they made a big deal about it at the time it happened....
